  This is a great place to enjoy a retreat. I've been here about 5 times with a group of 8-12 and found rest and restoration each time.
  
  The chapel services are the standard liturgy and the monks are very helpful to guide newcomers. The accommodations are comfortable while being simple. There's coffee and tea available at almost anytime. The meals are always wonderful and if you're lucky, there will be homemade bread.
  
  The grounds are beautifully landscaped and there's a wonderful prayer labrynth as well as various statues and murals.
  
  Enjoy the hospitality of the monks and retreat at Mount Calvary.

  Mount Calvary Monastery is a Benedictine community of monks in the Episcopal Church. They have several works; principal among them is our retreat house. They also offer ongoing spiritual direction, as well as confrences, talks, and teaching on the spiritual life. As Benedictines, they offer community worship morning and evening. They offer the Eucharist daily. All are invited to attend any of the services. Times of silence are important to monastic life, as are quite surroundings. They offer spacious grounds and gardens, lovely trees, and inspiring views. They also have a labyrinth situated on the bank of Mission Creek. Santa Barbara's Rose
  Garden, Natural History Museum, and Rocky Nook Park are close at hand.
