  I have visited the mausoleum about 4 times over the past weeks and find it to be very peaceful, serene, and tranquil. It is small, but a place in which you can feel at peace amongst the Franciscan Friars and sisters in their final resting place. I have chosen it for my final destination so my family can come visit and absorb the quaint oldness along with the beautiful restoration inside. As I sat inside one day it must have been noon as the church bells began ringing and I absolutely knew I’d made the right decision.

  This is definitely one of the places to stop by when going to Santa Barbara. The self guided tour gave us the chance to really enjoy and take in all the history of this place. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating despite our late arrival at nearly closing time. That reminds me, try to go early in the day to enjoy it more.
